REPORTS TO Director of Student Services
WORK WEEK SCHEDULE Monday - Friday WORK HOURS 8:00AM- 5:00 PM; occasional evenings MONTHS/YR 12
POSITION PURPOSE To perform various leadership tasks in providing guidance and support to school counselors and other staff . Primary functions include the Coordination of Services for Foster Care, 504, and homebound educational services as well as supporting the Director of Student Services with the coordination of student and staff wellness initiatives. This position will also work with students and families as they navigate the PCS goal of being enrolled, enlisted, and/or employed upon graduation by coordinating various student services intern opportunities. This position will provide support to student services teams in order to maximize master scheduling in MS and HS to provide educational opportunities for students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

? Knowledge of personal computers, including proficiency in using spreadsheets and online shared storage for reporting and communication with school personnel as well as the ability to edit and revise forms for online use as needed
? Ability to read, revise, and propose board policies as needed
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy on a tight timeline
? Ability to exercise judgment independently in selecting and implementing procedures and analyzing data
? Ability to be proactive in seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes
? Knowledge of school system operations and procedures
? Demonstrates a high level of professional ethics
? Ability to maintain strict confidentiality standards
? Ability to forge and maintain relationships with District and Community partners
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree or Higher; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eligibility for North Carolina School Counselor Licensure
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license according to the State of NC requirements
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? 504 coordinator
o Coordinate professional development as needed
o Assist counselors and student support to develop and manage a comprehensive 504 program including a strategic plan
o Assist staff in delivering comprehensive support services between MTSS, 504, and EC Services to determine the most viable option for students based on need
o Assist in data analysis to monitor student performance, behavior, and attendance as well as 504 compliance
? HomeBound Coordinator
o Serve as liaison between schools and community and governmental health-service agencies to serve the medical needs of the student body
o Ensure staff training is conducted as required for homebound services
o Maintain accurate records and process payments for homebound services
? Foster Care Administrator
o Assist social workers to develop and manage appropriate services for foster care children
o Maintain accurate records of BID meetings, services, and transportation for Foster students
o Ensure foster care students are accurate in reporting systems

? Must be able to use a variety of office equipment such as computers and copiers
? Must be able to frequently lift , carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds
? Due to the amount of time spent working on the computer, standing and walking, physical requirements are consistent with those for light work
WORK ENVIRONMENT
? Must be able to work in office and public school environments, and come into direct contact with staff and students
