The Trainer is accountable for conducting live in-person and virtual classroom training on our products to our external clients. This position is responsible for training delivery and client support, with a high-level of client interaction. This position will partner closely with our Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, Support and Development teams.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering a wide range of instructor-led training classes to external clients
  • Communicating complex processes in a simple, easy to understand manner
  • Managing the training classroom effectively by meeting individual learner needs while also maintaining control of the classroom
  • Driving a high level of engagement with learners
  • Classes are delivered in-person and virtually via Teams (other platforms may be used)
  • Preparing for training classes by testing training software and partnering with the Training Relations Administrator on all class details
  • Gathering client information from classroom attendees and effectively communicating the information back to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Collaborating with instructional designers, training team members and subject matter experts to develop new courses as well as maintain and update existing courses to accommodate changing PenLink software advancements, customer needs, government standards or guidelines, and new best practices
  • Identifying the skills, knowledge, information gaps of a particular customer base and create or suggest appropriate learning experiences to close those gaps
  • Staying up to date with developments in classroom facilitation skills and e-learning technology to serve as an internal leader on best practices, new solutions, and emerging trends
  • Representing the training team on departmental projects to help determine project goals, developing a timeline, assessing all possible solutions and monitoring roll-out
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to communicate ideas concisely in a professional manner
  • Strong presentation skills. Ability to command a virtual or in-person room effectively and reach a diverse audience at various levels.
  • Interact with classroom participants in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
  • Proficient in time management, planning and prioritization
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, think critically and problem solve
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to translate business goals and objectives into realistic training curriculum
  • Established skills in adult learning principles
  • The ability to travel alone, to include multi-day and overnight trips
  • Ability to pass all required background checks and obtain necessary clearances

YOUR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1 years of facilitation experience in classroom and/or virtual training
  • Proven technology skills and outstanding interpersonal abilities
  • Experience working with an online learning management system –preferred
  • Prior experience working in/with law enforcement- preferred
  • Prior training and/or experience working with law enforcement technology solutions –preferred
  • Prior training and/or experience working with Penlink solutions- preferred
