What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Specialist position at Penn Mar 2021?
The Human Resources Specialist assists with the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resources information and data. The HR Specialist will assist with areas of employee database management and maintenance, benefits administration, benefits orientation, benefits open enrollment, employee recognition, and tasks around performance management and annual reviews.
Position location can be either Freeland, MD, Glen Rock, PA or Westminster, MD, but it will require travel to other Penn-Mar locations.
This is a full-time, exempt position. Monday to Friday.
Education, Skills, & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of HR related experience OR
Associate's degree and 3 years of HR related experience required.
Proficient in using MS Office and HRIS/Payroll systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
Excellent problem solving /judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and busy environment with interruptions.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with teammates.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
