Position Overview
The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in providing a full range of marketing expertise, support to support and leadership to field offices / agencies to drive strong sales results. We have a strong focus on executing the marketing campaigns and tactics with field agencies by supporting our Relationship Managers, project and campaign management, as well as training and adoption of internal and outside resources, vendors and programs.

Position Expectations
Responsibilities
- Execute with excellence - by managing projects, programs and multi-channel campaigns in an agile & iterative environment, leveraging effective planning, design, go-to-market and execution/monitoring.
- Develop websites and communications plans that drive sales and client retention for financial professionals using industry leading tools and proven resources.
- Deliver presentations, recommendations, and follow-up with professional service similar to advertising agency support.
- Maximize return on investment (ROI) in our platforms by leading agent training and adoption efforts in the successful implementation of marketing and/or recruiting campaigns and successful onboarding and use of key marketing technology platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other lead gen tools.
- Develop, monitor and report progress against KPIs and metrics to measure the success of all marketing and advertising spend, and compiles regular reports of campaign performance and results
- Drive prospecting and sales by organizing and executing events, seminars, exhibitions and promotional events including writing and proofreading marketing copy, collaborating with subject matter experts, as well as outside designers, animators and printers
- Implement continuous improvement processes to review current marketing campaigns for success factors, areas to improve, scalability and efficiency across multiple agencies.
- Establish product roadmap and features needed for vendor and platform enhancements, prioritizing both features/benefits and budget with key platform providers.
- Develop RFPs, business cases, and processes to onboard new vendors and tools through the correct Penn Mutual procurement and onboarding processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Create content for websites, email and social media using tools like Canva, Snagit, Visme, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop with light graphic design.
- Ensure campaign implementation follows Penn Mutual's and their agencies' brand guidelines, as well as regulatory/compliance guidelines.
Education/Licenses/Professional Designations
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Advertising and preferred or equivalent work experience.
- American College professional designation or advanced degree (or working towards) a plus.

- Streamlines and Improves processes. Through techniques like process improvement, lean, six-sigma, adkar, or simple process and experience mapping. Balancing speed, quality and budget on everything we do.
- Develops Content. Demonstrates strong communication skills within and outside of the agency. Demonstrates expert business and creative writing skills, as well as strong presentation and training skills.
Experience
- 5-8 years in a similar role
- Proficiency with content development tools like Canva, Snagit, Visme, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop with light graphic design.
- Proficiency with marketing and social media tools like LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Facebook business pages, digital business cards, QR codes and calendar tools.
- Experience with multi-channel campaign execution leveraging email, social media, cold/warm outbound calls, and pipeline generation.
- Experience with technology like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Constant Contact, FMG suite, Hootsuite, SmartOffice, Asana, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Camtasia, Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and Word
- Proficient with excel for campaign reporting, measuring ROI
- Proficient with lead gen tools and CRM use for market research, email or mailing lists.
