What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter and HR Coordinator position at PennEngineering?
The Recruiter and HR Coordinator position is responsible for assisting in the facilitation of recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding, as well as assisting with HR operation needs at the Danboro plant. The Recruiter and HR Coordinator works collaboratively with the HR Business Partner and displays a high level of communication and coordination skills. The Recruiter and HR Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting the HR Business Partner with any HR initiatives as needed, including company culture and appreciation events, and community service projects and activities.
Essential Job Duties/Functions:
- Ensure that Human Resource policies and processes are consistently administered.
- Develop a network of recruiting sources to help meet the manpower needs for the company. These sources should include local schools, training facilities, colleges and recruiting agencies.
- Schedule and Facilitate interviews between department managers, supervisors, team leaders, and internal and external candidates.
- Write and place recruitment advertisements on electronic recruitment boards and other recruiting sources to attract qualified candidates.
- Interview exempt and hourly candidates to determine the qualifications of the candidates and whether or not they meet the requirements established for the position they are being interviewed.
- Perform new hire orientations that includes reviewing company policies, completing required new hire paperwork, and issuing company property such as badges, door access cards, and locks.
- Attend job fairs and other recruiting functions as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training initiatives.
- Write job descriptions to accurately describe each of the positions at the Danboro plant.
- Update employee info, schedules, and accruals in ADP timekeeping and attendance system as needed.
- Performs project work and other duties as assigned.
- Participate and contribute to the community service team’s projects and activities.
