Overview
Shift Hours: 3rd shift 11:00pm- 7:00pm Sunday Thru Thursday. This position is eligible for overtime when it's available.
Report to: Fabrication Supervisor
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the CNC operation and production in order to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for the operation of the CNC machining centers within the Fab Shop, with some additional work on other production equipment as necessary.
- Performs set-ups
- Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs and proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Requires previous experience with CNC Programming software
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to handle material. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
