Here's a sampling of what you might encounter on an average day, but as with any other business, our needs evolve daily.
- Draft, author, review, and approve contracts and related documents. Consult outside legal counsel with discrepancies in documentation and in high-risk situations.
- Accountable for both financial and risk management perspectives regarding all contract review functions.
- Manage contracts and associated documentation including master service agreements, certificates of insurance, contracts for goods and services and other required supplier/ contractor set-up information.
- Support bid process for products and services, including review of commercial terms submitted with bids for conformity to contract requirements.
- Develop and administer ongoing contract-related training programs and act as resource for day-to-day contract interpretation questions.
- Receive, track, and monitor contracts and documents using standard document management programs to register documents, maintain databases, and produce logs, transmittals, and other reports as required.
- Maintain contract administration and document management solutions with a primary focus on document control and records management.
- Maintain Scheuch Standard Terms & Conditions. Negotiate with Scheuch suppliers when requests are made for deviations to Standard T&Cs.
- Draft, monitor, assess and update as necessary the company's document management policies, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure company personnel are knowledgeable about contract administration/document management principles and requirements; assist with the development and implementation of related training.
- Serve as subject matter expert and support fellow team members with contracts and associated documents.
- Assist senior management in negotiating favorable terms and conditions with current and perspective clients
- Assist with corporate insurance and insurance compliance
- Other duties, responsibilities, and projects as requested
Skills You Need to Bring With You
From a technical perspective, our ideal candidate will bring the following skills & experience with them:
- College degree required. Bachelor of Science in Finance, Business Management or related degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in contract management, purchasing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of master service agreements, large scale construction contracts, supplier agreements, goods and/or services purchase contracts, and associated documentation and requirements.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, self-directed, high energy individual.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create timely, accurate and succinct written communications; ability to share information and ideas with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; strong negotiation skill and ability to work with senior management, mid-level management and end-users.
- Excellent business judgement and ability to quickly build business acumen to help serve the needs of the organization.
- Knowledge and experience in process design and improvement.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Strong computer skills including a proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
