Cash Application Specialist
Pay: $20-$25/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months (contract to hire is a possibility)
Location: Morton Grove, IL (Hybrid)
Our large distribution client is looking for a Cash Application Specialist to assist their team! Major initiative to recoup approximately $2M of unapplied cash in the next 60 days. The office is located in Morton Grove, IL and they are looking for someone to be onsite for the first 45 days. Then move to a hybrid schedule of 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.
The ideal consultant will have previous A/R experience and have prior experience with Janus accounting system.
The Cash Application Specialist will:
- Apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts
- Review and reconcile customer short pays and discrepancies
- Contact customers regarding outstanding account balances
- Process new customer credit applications and reference requests
- Draft and submit A/R adjustment forms as needed
- Assist with credit checks/order releases
- Process daily billing and invoicing
- Maintain electronic files for A/R and Billing paperwork
- Data Entry/automate processes
