Salary Range (Annualized): $59,423.00 - $75,000.
The Quality Improvement Analytics/Report Writer is integral to advancing the agency’s mission by extracting, collecting, and analyzing data related to the quality of care and health outcomes, focusing on developmental disabilities services. This role involves building customized reports tailored to the agency’s needs, maintaining data integrity, and providing actionable insights for continuous improvement initiatives. This professional not only excels in technical aspects but it is also proficient in interpreting clinical data and conveying results to a varied audience, including internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain a deep understanding of the data schema for company files and specified databases.
• Write SQL queries and create reports to provide data for business units, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Gather, document, and translate both functional and technical requirements into reporting solutions.
• Assist in the planning, development, testing, and delivery of reports for routine and ad hoc requests, with a special focus on quality care metrics.
• Present and explain data findings to diverse groups, making official presentations when necessary.
• Create standard operating procedures for recurring reports to ensure consistency and adherence to department standards.
• Perform rigorous data analysis to discern patterns, recognize trends, and provide insights into the quality of care and health outcomes.
• Participate in performance improvement committees, offering insights from data analytics.
• Collaborate with program teams/support departments to ensure that performance improvement data is understood and actionable.
• Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related healthcare field.
• Preferred Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate
• 3-7 years of experience in analytics with report writing, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Proficient in SQL, Power BI, or equivalent reporting tools.
• Advanced knowledge of databases, queries, sub-queries, and data extraction methodologies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
• Demonstrated proficiency in manipulating user-defined fields, calculations, and database schemas.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Team-oriented with robust interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
