As the Director of Sourcing and Production, you will drive the manufacturing and production strategy of the Pepper brand. Working with our global manufacturers and executive leadership you will focus on building a best in class global sourcing organization that is a competitive advantage for Pepper.
- Develop deep relationships with factories and lead placement, cost, PO and contract negotiations while supporting long term supplier goals.
- Expand our supply base to support growth goals
- Develop best-in-class vendor matrix that sets Pepper up for success
- Strategize with our manufacturers to manage capacity and creatively deploy strategies for faster production schedules
- Establish, Sourcing calendar that aligns to the marketing calendar and drive suppliers to consistent delivery of product..
- Develop and Maintain the supplier and quality manual
- Own communication and resolution around quality issues; manage chargebacks.
- Collaborate with PD, Merchandising, Planning and Supply Chain to develop and maintain the end to end product roadmap
- Continuously work across functions and with all factories to improve processes, lead times and costs
- Support Design and Product development in growing our assortment
- Support Pepper sustainability goals and continue to find new ways to reduce waste within the supply chain.
- Support ad hoc Supply Chain related initiatives as needed
- Fluency in Spanish is a major plus
- 7-10 years in production or sourcing in apparel or other soft goods category
- Prior intimates experience a must
- Experience working with overseas vendors a must
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial, startup environment and can wear multiple hats
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record building lean strong organizations
- Proven track record managing a sourcing organization across multiple categories and vendors.
- Excellent multi-tasker with the ability to successfully deliver multiple objectives simultaneously.
- Highly collaborative cross functionally to deliver objectives
- Proficient in Google OS, Microsoft Excel, word, powerpoint
- Extremely flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
- Willingness to travel internationally
