What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Analyst position at Peraton?
Peraton is seeking a Benefits Analyst to oversee our Leave of Absence program. This position has the ability to work remotely.
The Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Administer leaves of absence, in coordination with third party administrator, related to short-term disability (STD), FMLA, maternity and parental leave, personal leave, long-term disability (LTD), state mandated leave programs, jury duty, bereavement, and military leave.
* Review and analyze daily reports from third party administrator and process leaves of absence in HRIS system (Workday) to include initiating leave, returning from leave, notes, and updates for the duration of the leave, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
* Provide excellent customer service when fielding leave of absence inquiries sent to the leave of absence email from employees, managers, and Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs).
* Create monthly email statistics based on types of inquiries received in the leave of absence mailbox, including executive summary and opportunities for employee/manager education and/or process improvement.
* Create weekly labor reports depicting all employees on leave of absence and coordinate with payroll and HRBPs to ensure pay and employment status accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with applicable medical and disability leave regulations and policies.
* Coordinate escalations of complex issues with third party administrator, benefits administration vendor, managers, and HRBPs to achieve satisfactory resolution.
* Ensure smooth return-to-work transitions for employees and managers.
* Calculate military differential pay and coordinate payment with payroll.
* Prepare managers for disability-related grievance hearings.
* Develop and update internal process documents and employee/manager resources, to include Essential Leave Guide and employee policy documents related to disability and leaves of absence.
* Reconcile deductions vs. direct billed amounts for employees on leave that are not receiving benefit premium deductions via payroll to ensure accuracy of direct bill by benefits administration vendor.
* Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and communicate with internal and external partners, as appropriate, to proactively update and resolve issues.
* Assist with other benefits and leave of absence duties and projects, as assigned.
Required
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Healthcare or related field preferred.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in human resources, with considerable focus on employee benefits and leave of absence administration.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $42,200
Colorado Salary Maximum: $102,400
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
