Join our Technology and Engineering Software Delivery Center and manage exciting projects across Peraton in areas such as communications, space, cybersecurity, defense, health, and mobile. The initial assignment will involve serving as the Program Manager for the Software Delivery Center’s participation in a property tax system for a local government. The Program Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordinating and management of cost, schedule and performance for all aspects of complex engineering projects and tasks. Directs and manages the activities of the project team and directly contributes to cost, schedule, and deliverables status updates. Allocates resources (staffing, facilities, and equipment) to meet project requirements. Monitors risks and develops and presents risk management strategies to ensure proper performance of tasks necessary for efficient and effective execution of software development efforts. Prepares action plans for presentation to the customer. Utilizes communication skills to direct technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents.

Qualifications
Required:
- At least eight years of experience in the IT field, including at least two years of experience in a management or technical leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT or engineering related field
- Experience working with project management processes and tools
- Experience conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, budgeting, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting for small to medium sized software and systems engineering projects
- Strong leadership skills and ability to foster collaborative relationships at all levels of engineering and management
- Ability to resolve project issues quickly and accurately and replan when necessary
- Good organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize work and multitask
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Desired:
- Existing Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar training
