The Department of Defense has implemented the Skillbridge Intern program to provide Veterans with opportunities to gain "civilian experience" before they actually end their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, and Peraton understands the significant value of hiring Veterans.
The Skillbridge Intern will employ a multi-discipline approach to the multi-faceted engineering realm, whether it be development, requirements engineering, DevOps engineering, scheduling, Information Assurance, Configuration Management, Database Engineering and Administration, along with Systems Administration supporting multiple DoD customers. The candidates will develop an understanding of how firms operating in the Information Technology (IT) Environment, conceive and develop solutions and technologies to solve client problems. Specifically, each candidate will develop their acumen in the areas of IT infrastructure and installation development planning, project development, design execution, and operation of IT environment solutions.
This opportunity is located in the DC Meto Area. Peraton provides IT support for enterprise and mission systems. By joining Peraton on a National Programs contract, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with several teams across multiple technology areas.
Qualifications
Required:
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
- 5 years' working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
- Mid-level working system engineering experience in government or industry.
Desired:
- Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
- Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
- INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
- Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
