Responsibilities
The System Administrator is responsible for:
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
- Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements:
- BS 8-10 or 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Degree in business administration, business management, information systems, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum Experience Level Requirements:
- 5-7 years of professional experience in a large Data Center environment
- ITIL4 Foundation certification (not required to start but expected to attain in first six months)
- Experience using Remedy software (or similar tool) to track incidents and service requests through the full lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with customer senior leadership.
- Familiarity with DOD IT security requirements
Ability to obtain/maintain: Secret Clearance

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
