Responsibilities
- Applies specialized knowledge of primary technical discipline, e.g., aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer science to support research, planning, development, design, analysis, production, maintenance, and operation of devices, equipment, complex systems, or processes;
- Design activities generally involve customer specifications, constraints, operating environments, and autonomous, unattended operation;
- State-of-the-art product development activities may require modification and extension of existing methods and may require advanced techniques and/or tools.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g. Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, Optics, Mechanical);
- At least 5 years of related experience;
- Requires broad knowledge of several fields and extensive knowledge of own specialty Manages a segment of the organization's technical operations such as Satellite Operations, Software Systems, Logistics and Quality in compliance with established policies and procedures. Provides technical direction to staff and monitors performance to ensure compliance with contract. Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the organization. Organizes project and task workloads and selects individuals most qualified for assignments on specific projects.
- Ensures employee conformance to established practices and proper training of staff. Prepares reports and audits current procedures to monitor efficiency of operations.
- Eligible for a Secret Clearance
