A beautiful medium sized marina front lifestyle hotel in Marina del Rey is now seeking a passionate results driven Sales Manager to join like minded team. The sales team consists of 2 Sales managers, 2 catering managers and sales admin. The role will be responsible for groups as well as transient market.
Salary Range
- $80-85k base
- up to 20% incentives based on performance of reaching sales goals.
- additional 10% bonus based on annual salary if reach yearly goal overall.

Requirements
- 1 year hotel sales experience in similar capacity
- Reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing
- Familiarity with Delphi/Salesforce is a big plus
Responsibilities
- The Sales Manager is responsible for working with the General Manager / Director of Sales with the direct sales needs of the hotel
- The Sales Manager is responsible for promoting the hotel to group business and transient segments
- Adhere to company guidelines to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our team members and guests
- Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines
- Exceeding Guest Expectations - Providing services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention
- Demonstrating Leadership - Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example
- Modeling Appropriate Behaviors - Serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
- Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
- Responsible for assisting in increasing revenues by soliciting new mid-week/week-end business, including food and beverage, banquet and meeting room sales on behalf of the hotels through:
- Directing solicitation calls to local business and prospective leads, Soliciting and qualify potential new accounts and Effectively servicing and growing existing accounts
- Participating in industry and civic organizations representing opportunities for future public relations and new business
- Pro-actively pursue, organize and book sleeping rooms and group business for the hotels
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of the competition's product and current marketing strategies
- Communicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure group arrangements are carried out as efficiently as possible
- Promote a professional positive image of the hotels at all times through personal appearance, civic functions and general public relations
- Complete sales objectives and ongoing action plan, as directed by the General Manager / Director of Sales
- Provide adequate follow-up and solicit repeat bookings
- Complete weekly and monthly sales reports
- Respond promptly to all sales related inquires and correspondence from customers, prospects and lead referrals
- Conduct weekly quota of proactive sales calls in the form of telephone calls, office appointments, hotel site inspections, trade shows and networking functions/meetings
- Confirm group bookings, using availability and rate guidelines approved by the General Manager
- Trace accounts for follow-up
- Travel as necessary for sales calls and trade shows and Promote all Company managed hotels when appropriate
- Respond promptly to requests by the Operational Supervisor and Corporate Director of Sales for reports and other assignments
