Custodial Supervisor (Nights) Battle Creek Area

Working Supervisor duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a small team of employees
• Training new employees
• Filling in/General Cleaning as needed
• Keeping track of inventory, reordering stock
• Good Communicating with Management and Employees
• Resolve complaints and any conflict
• Maintaining good relationships with customer
• Other duties as assigned

Monday - Friday 6pm - 2am with rotating weekend overtime.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16-$18 per hour based on experience

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Job Summary

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the janitorial staff cleans and maintains the client's premises to our standards. Pay for these roles will be $16-$18 per hour based on experience.

Job Description

Available Shift:

• 6:00pm - 2:00am Monday through Friday
• 6:00pm - 2:00am Sunday through Thursday

Essential Functions

• Supervise employees. .
• Evaluates performance of personnel and inspects assigned areas to ensure proper work performance. This requires hands-on support and ability to perform work when necessary. This may include, but is not limited to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, stripping/refinishing, carpet scrubbing, servicing restrooms, window washing, etc.
• Find and define problems, resolve issues, and use these in making appropriate recommendations to management staff.
• Report any issues, concerns or discrepancies to Manager
• Performs tracks and evaluates supply and equipment usage and repairs. Ensures appropriate labeling, dilution, and storage requirements are conducted in accordance with company, customer and OSHA standards.
• On the job training for staff/employees to job specific tasks.
• Participates in company and customer training ensuring effective communication and distribution of information to supervisors, customers and employees.
• Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies, customer's rules and regulations and applicable laws when needed.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities and high customer demand.
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in maintenance work.

Education and Work Experience

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the janitorial/facilities field.

• Fast paced environment
• Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks
• High sense of urgency
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
• Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

• Pass criminal background screening

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
