What are the responsibilities and job description for the Studio Assistant position at Perkins&Will?
As a Studio Assistant on the Perkins&Will Houston team, you will:
- Assist with administrative Human Resources functions
- Maintain Materials Library on a weekly basis
- Greet Sales Reps at Materials Library and work with them as needed
- Assist PM/Principals in creating consultant agreements and/or Owner/Architect agreements using AIA software
- Answer phones/relieve front desk during lunch break/end of day (and when receptionist is taking PTO)
- Fax, copy, scan, and file as needed
- Prepare FedEx / overnight shipments
- Prepare package for / order courier service
- Send out reprographic work orders
- Order food and set up / clean-up for meetings as needed
- Assist with keeping kitchens and conference rooms clean and organized
- Schedule conference room times and equipment needed for meetings
- Assist PM/Principals in signing up for events either for the staff and/or clients
- Assist with office event set up and coordination as requested
- Organize/enter/submit expense reports as requested
To join us, you must have
- 2 years minimum experience working in a corporate environment
- Experience in a corporate environment, AEC industry preferred
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn
- Collaborative and professional work ethic
