We are now recruiting a Lead Fabricator.
The team lead will work in a team environment, assisting various areas to help fill-in the gaps left to staffing constraints. Delegate what tasks are to be worked on and when. Fabricate various parts and components utilizing CAD drawings and blueprints provided. Not limited to, reading and interpreting drawings and instructions. Using precision measuring devices to ensure tolerances are met. Adjusting equipment/tools as necessary to meet tolerances. Utilizing various tools, equipment, machinery as necessary to fabricate product. Update and modify work instructions as needed. Be seen as a leader on the floor.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience. Typically requires a general education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.
- Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be informal team leader.
- Fabricate and assemble parts according to instructions and training.
- Coordinate and delegate work assignments based on queues and delivery dates.
- Oversee training of newer team members.
- Ability to identify production bottlenecks and adjust product flow accordingly.
- Assist in writing/updating work instructions and process improvements.
- As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways.
- Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
- Root cause analysis on issues and provide recommendations.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be an informal team leader.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on team members.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to read and understand CAD file blueprints and 1:1’s.
- Ability to verify product quality using precision measuring devices.
- Follow direction, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Safely and proficiently operate tools and equipment needed to fabricate and assemble parts.
- Be a Core Values Advocate.
- Must work overtime as assigned.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Complete understanding of fabrication processes.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to use precision measuring devices to ensure product quality.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Self-starting ability.
- Understanding of equipment and tools used.
- Strong math skills, understanding of CAD drawings/1:1’s.
- Ability to train new team members.
- Ability to update WI’s/SOP’s as needed.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time.
- Previous leadership experience, preferred.
Level of Education or Experience in Lieu of:
- High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.
- 8 years fabrication or related experience, preferred.
- Leadership experience, preferred.

Physical Demands:
- Standing 8 to 10 hours.
- Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
