We are now recruiting a Production Fabrication.
Permobil, a manufacturer of advanced rehabilitation technology and a global leader in wheelchair cushion and support surface products, has immediate openings for experienced and motivated individuals to join our Fabrication Team at the Permobil Seating and Positioning facility in New Berlin, WI.
We are currently HIRING motivated individuals with a mechanical mindset and an interest in working with machinery. Permobil will provide specific training on the equipment for individuals who have the right attitude, basic manufacturing experience and the willingness and ability to learn new skills quickly!
JOB DUTIES:
Fabricates custom seats by performing various functions such as:
Operating equipment such as band saws, sheer machines and other cutting and shaping equipment.
Sanding wood and foam.
Measuring product dimensions using standard and metric rulers.
Performing in-process inspections.
Follows established Standard Work Instructions.
Involved with problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
Performs in-process quality inspections, completely and accurately filling out production paperwork.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Must have experience working in a production environment.
Must understand measurements and basic math. Must know how to use both a standard and metric ruler effectively.
Must have experience with entering data into system and basic computer skills.
Must be detail oriented and good with multitasking.
Must be able to stand still for long periods of time while operating machinery.
Must be able to twist, bend, reach with arms and hands, handle, grasp and/or feel with hands.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, the ability to work under pressure quickly and accurately and the ability to work well with others.
