- Assist sheet metal mechanics in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements of each project.
- Assist with the layout, measuring, and marking of sheet metal materials using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Support the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products, including ductwork, fittings, and architectural elements.
- Assist in the installation of sheet metal systems, such as HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of existing sheet metal systems as needed.
- Handle and transport sheet metal materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate any challenges or issues to the supervisor.
