About the Position

Each day is a new day in the field of pest control because no two pest problems are the same. If you are a troubleshooter and have a knack for problem-solving then this position is for you. As an IPM technician at Pestec, you are like a detective, using clues to guide you in solving pest issues.

• This position will be based in Antioch, but you may have to travel to other parts of the Bay Area if needed.
• You will work alongside others who also have a passion for solving customers’ problems and improving the places we live and work.
• Monday - Friday, our team generally works 8 hours shifts and about 40 hours a week, but start times vary: some team members start as early as 3 am or start as late as 5 pm.
• Must get your SPCB Applicator license - You will receive paid training and the preparation needed to pass the exam required to be licensed.
• You will have the opportunity to attend industry-related workshops, take college-level pest management courses, and participate in company-wide training where you will get to problem solve with the whole team.

Pay and Benefits

• $28 to $30 per hour

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• US Citizen or a valid Authorized Work Permit
• Valid CA Driver’s License
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
• Basic computer knowledge; capable of learning new software programs quickly

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

• Physical activities requiring a considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, ascending and descending stairs, and handling materials.
• Stand, walk 3 to 5 miles or drive for prolonged periods
• Move or lift 50-100 lbs.
• Bend and kneel frequently
• Climb on and over structures
• Enter and exit crawl spaces in houses and buildings
• Wear a respirator
• Carry and operate a 30-foot extension ladder

What The Hiring Process Looks Like

• If we review your application and decide to move forward we will reach out to you and have you complete a pre-employment predictive test.
• If your test results and resume/application look good we will reach out to schedule a phone interview.
• If the phone interview goes well we will bring you in for a paid ($50) in-person interview This is an interactive interview where we will assess your abilities and skills to see if you're a good fit for the job. Plan to be there for up to 2 hours.
