What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Supervisor position at Pet Supplies Plus?
- Preparing weekly and monthly department reports and participating in wage surveys.
- Performing responsibilities that contribute to meeting and exceeding team goals.
- Monitoring and reporting costs per hire, turnover, and other measures of the staffing function.
- Gathering and analyzing turnover, retention, and absenteeism data.
- Organizing work by reading and routing correspondence, collecting information, and initiating telecommunications.
- Completing requests by greeting visitors, in person or on the phone, answering or referring inquiries.
- Overseeing and providing day-to-day leadership of the HR, Administrative and Loss Prevention staff.
- Assisting the Timekeeping Analyst with conducting and tracking 90-day reviews/Stay Interviews.
- Coordinating recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt openings with the Staffing Coordinator. Help coordinate recruitment ads and job fairs, and facility tours.
- Serving as the back-up in completing attendance documentation, conducting new hire orientations.
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations concerning employment.
- Providing leadership and counseling to teams regarding human resources policies, procedures, personnel records, and practices.
- Monitoring performance evaluation process.
- Addressing team member conflicts and completing investigations. Working with management to administer team member corrective action.
- Assessing team member engagement and retention and actively work to identify, analyze, and improve any problematic areas.
- Complying with all OSHA, federal, and state policies that optimizes safety within the facility.
- Participating in strategic meetings within the company.
- Administrative and operational duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred
- 2-3 years' of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and administrative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively while maintaining a positive approach to work.
- Competency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong moral and ethical code.
- Experience with Kronos and UKG Pro a plus.
- Ability to secure confidential information.
