Inventory Control Specialist-SBT

Job Summary:

This position is accountable for Customer Service, inventory receiving, inventory put away, and inventory picking for the Service Bulletin Tooling (SBT) Department of the Warehouse & Distribution Division.

Essential Functions:

  • Verify and receive incoming inventory
  • Put inventory away in a organized and timely manner
  • Pick inventory for SBT kits and deliver to the technicians
  • Create an accurate BOM for each kit in Dynamics AX
  • Create new part numbers in AX
  • Provide Customer Service to Boeing concerning needed inventory and kit lead-times
  • Transfer inventory as needed in AX to meet demands
  • Use Dynamics AX to determine lead-times for requested kits

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner and must be able to react favorably in all situations.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to listen well, understand concerns, and gain cooperation to solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to understand concerns of your customers.
  • Must be clean and keep area neat and orderly.
  • Computer skills i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Dynamics AX, and Red Prairie WMS

Minimum Requirements:

High School Education or GED preferred. Three to five years related experience.


Essential Mental Functions:

Must be able to give and receive instructions and react favorably in all work situations. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. Must have long attention span in order to listen to people, perceive the real problems, and bring issues to a successful conclusion. Must have the ability to act favorably in stressful situations.


Essential Physical Functions:

Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods of time.

Some bending and stooping required. Requires occasional lifting to 50 lbs.

Requires manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard, calculator, copier machine, telephone, and other office equipment.

Requires eyesight correctable to within normal range to read numbers, reports, and to view computer terminals.

Requires hearing correctable to within normal range for telephone use and communication.

Safety Requirements:

  • Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer's safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.

Equipment Used (but not limited to):

Ability to operate and maneuver a variety of equipment in tight positions (large and small forklifts, pallet jack), Computers and Printers. RF Bar Code Scanning Equipment.

Availability:

  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Travel:

Must be available and willing to travel as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Working Conditions:

Works in a typical office setting.

Spends time in an inventory cage and machine shop environment.

May be required to work some overtime.
