Warehouse Manager Job Responsibilities :
- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Review and prepare workflow, personnel and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconcile with data storage systems
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual warehouse budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
- Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Improve staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Warehouse Manager Qualifications / Skills :
- Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work
- Tech-savvy, with experience with ERP software (Epicor / Prophet 21 preferred) and barcode scanning technology
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Understanding of safety rules
- Knowledge of general software and applications
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years as a warehouse manager or warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
- OSHA Forklift Certification
- Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred
This position is based out of pewag’s Bolingbrook headquarters and works first shift Monday through Friday from 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, with some occasional overtime work outside those hours.
