Human Resources Manager

Primary Objective: To advise managers and supervisors in all HR practices, to provide information to employees about regulations, contract language, and policies.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function for the plastics manufacturing plant in Fife, WA. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with the Plant Manager to develop and implement HR policies and program that support the plant’s business objectives and promote a positive and productive work environment. This position is based out of Fife, WA and is an on-site position.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing comprehensive HR plans and procedures to effectively support and manage company personnel.
• Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from creating engaging job postings and sourcing high-quality candidates to conducting thorough interviews and extending job offers.
• Design and implement impactful employee training and development initiatives to foster continuous growth and enhance the skills and knowledge of the plant's workforce.
• Proactively manage employee relations matters, including skillful conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and prompt handling of employee grievances.
• Act as the primary point of contact for administering employee benefits, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between carriers and employees.
• Drive the performance management process by setting clear goals, conducting fair and constructive performance evaluations, and developing effective performance improvement plans when necessary.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant employment laws, labor regulations, and safety guidelines, demonstrating a strong commitment to legal compliance in all HR practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR-related records, diligently managing employee files, HRIS systems, and other pertinent documents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of state and federal employment laws, labor laws, and safety regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred but not required

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
