What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Millwright position at PF Holdings?
Essential Responsibilities
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machinery to determine work procedures
- Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation and reassemble appropriately
- Move equipment to appropriate site for repair or maintenance to avoid contamination or workplace safety hazards
- Create solid foundations for machines on-site and instruct other workers about safe and efficient interaction with machinery and equipment
- Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
- Grind and file machinery parts both on-site and in controlled circumstances
- Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyers, and pumps
- Comply with MSHA regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding, and brazing equipment
- Participate in the maintenance On-Call system
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
- Completion of an accredited millwright certification program preferred
- Minimum of three years of millwright experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner
- In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills
- Must work well in a team environment or on individual assignments
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to work in adverse working conditions such as heat, wet, cold, noise, etc.
- Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and in elevated areas
- Strong communications skills
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- All duties require outside assignments and require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty
- Safety-sensitivity position
- Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, stoop, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to operate hand controls with both hands
- Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather
- Ability to work in cramped quarters
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 150 feet
- Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 150 feet
All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed
