What You Will Achieve
As a Technician based at the Pfizer Chesterfield, MO campus, you will be at the center of our operations and you’ll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for operations in the GMP Inventory management group supporting the manufacture and delivery of life-changing advanced therapeutic medicines for patients. Your focus will include but not limited to supporting all aspects of materials management covering receiving, sampling and subdividing, material kitting, shipping.
As part of technical operations, you will be a team member who is relied to have a good understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing. You will contribute to the team’s success by sharing of previously acquired knowledge.

How You Will Achieve It
- Ability to follow Pfizer Standard Operating Procedures along with all applicable regulation guidelines and work under minimal supervision.
- Understand and comply with the policies, procedures and working practices of Environment, Health & Safety and where necessary contribute to the review and implementation of the practices in the facility.
- Perform electronic and physical inventory transactions (picking, put-away, stock checks, discarding and segregation of materials, consumption, etc.) and becoming proficient working with Axis 360.
- Work with suppliers to procure and acquire all relevant documentation.
- Receive and inspect all materials arriving to ensure appropriate material quality and integrity.
- Sample and subdivide materials including chemicals under GMP conditions.
- Ship raw materials and finished goods to domestic and international customers.
- Perform general warehouse operations including, cycle counting, stock consolidation, material picking following FEFO, material destructions, Kanban replenishment.
- Manage own time and professional development, be accountable for own results and begin to prioritize own workflow.
- Cross-functional communication with manufacturing team, quality and site operations as necessary.
- Complete training to take part in safety inspections within the facility.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- Self-motivated, organized, capable of working independently, and in a collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail, along with excellent oral/written communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office required, especially MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
- Experience following procedures (SOPS).
- Ability to manage own time and others.
- Ability to detect and raise compliance / non-conformance concerns.
- Familiarity with GMP warehouse procedures.
- Knowledge of working in a cGMP environment
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Demonstrated capability to work as a team member in a matrix development team
Nice-to-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- Use of Powered Industrial Trucks, including
- Pallet Trucks
- Forklift Trucks
- Elevated Platforms.
- Hazmat Trained (DOT, IATA)
- Experience with the following software:
- ERP (SAP or Microsoft Dynamics AX)
- Microsoft Teams,
- Document Management System
- GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
- GMP Warehouse Experience
- Cleanroom Experience
- Operational aptitude and desire to execute hands-on manual labor
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and move materials (e.g. drums, boxes, etc.) up to 50 pounds.
- Work in extreme temperatures for short periods of time (-40°C/°F).
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and/or Powered Industrial Trucks.
- Ability to gown to enter clean rooms and to sub-divide materials
