Inventory Control Manager
PFSweb has an immediate need for an experienced Inventory Control Manager with the ability to effectively manage a large number of unique products.
Responsibilities
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the integrity and accountability of the inventory through a series of cycle counts, audits and process improvement/developments
- Plan, organize, schedule and coordinate work in order to meet production schedules and operational goals in a distribution center.
- Implement plans, procedures, programs and strategies to enhance performance
- Performs and maintains inventory adjustments
- Manage the Inventory Control Team.
- Understands and performs duties with attention to quality, safety and environmental matters; recognizes, reports and appropriately responds to hazards in the work area and maintains proper housekeeping at all times
- Researches and resolves inventory and /or system problems.
- Serve as the departmental liaison with account management, operations, external/internal accounting auditors and clients.
- Manage cycle count programs and physical inventories
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent work experience, Required
- 4 years’ experience in Inventory Control (preferably in a distribution/warehousing environment), Required
- 5 years of management experience (preferably in a distribution/warehousing environment),
- Continuous Improvement background, desired
- Knowledge of inventory management and control disciplines, computerized inventory record keeping systems, including Excel
- Flexibility to work weekend schedule as needed
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to push or pull carts of up to 100 pounds without assistance
- Ability to climb stairs without assistance
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products
- Must be able to work on a variety of warehouse floors up to 100 feet in height
- Must be about to work in a warehouse environment with a noise level up to 85dBA
