Piedmont Global Language Solutions (PGLS) is looking for
Transcribers / Translators, of all spoken languages.
Locations : Onsite in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) and Remote opportunities available, Contingent upon contract award.
Job Description :
Transcribe audio material and translate written material from the target language to (and from) English.
All linguists will be required to complete a short assessment as part of the vetting process after the necessary clearance is granted.
Requirements
- 1 year (s) of experience of translating, transcribing, or interpreting from the requested language into English.
- Basic technical knowledge is needed.
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust background determination.
- Clearance requires a background check, drug test and credit check.

- Hold a valid US driver’s license, or any US government-issued valid form of identification. Qualifications : Interpreter MINIMUM qualifications (non-medical settings) :
- At least two (2) years of interpreting experience, paid or as a volunteer
- Two (2) relevant professional references that can vouch for the candidate’s work as an interpreter OR one (1) relevant professional reference and one (1) relevant professional letter of recommendation
- Native-level proficiency in English and another language.
