Job Description:
The IT Specialist position is primarily responsible for managing the company's IT Help Desk. Daily responsibilities include responding to email, phone and in-person help desk inquiries, under the guidance of the IT Director, for the 200 end users. This position also assists the IT Director in the daily operations and maintenance of all IT systems, including servers, workstations, VOIP phone systems, printers, network equipment and smart phones. Position will directly communication with end users (employees) in all departments within the company. Strong organizational skills and aptitude to learn technology required. Position reports to the IT Director.

Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to email, phone and in-person requests for IT assistance in a timely fashion
- Maintain the company's asset inventory by employee
- Troubleshoot issues
- Research solutions
- Provide end-user training
- Setup computers and peripherals for new employees
- Keep IT closet and inventory organized
- Track activity within the company's IT Help Desk system
- Proactively ensure all IT services (phone, internet, network, etc.) are operating in all office, production and remote locations
- Escalate complex IT issues to IT Director for resolution
- Other IT projects as assigned by the IT Director or SVP, Corporate Operations
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 4-year college degree preferred, but not required based on experience and ability to learn
- Proficient with Windows and Mac OS X workstations
- Basic understanding of computer networking
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of users
- Able to learn new technologies and procedures quickly
- Able to learn how to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve a range of IT-related problems such as virus infections, software incompatibility, etc.
- Able to multi-task with minimal supervision
- Able to work onsite, Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM, with some flexibility beyond those hours to handle emergencies
- Ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-starter, creative and have a strong attention to detail with a "can do" attitude
