Summary:

Phelps United is seeking a Strategic Product Procurement Manager with a hunter mentality to drive strategic sourcing, product development, and supplier relationships. You'll spearhead the identification and landing of net new product lines and products, contributing incremental sales and fostering growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, identifying and landing net new product lines (end-of-life and or non-franchised) and products to drive incremental sales.
  • Drive product development and life-cycle management, ensuring rapid time-to-market for innovative solutions.
  • Cultivate strong vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for net new product lines and products that align with company objectives and market demands.
  • Develop and execute strategies to secure new product partnerships and expand product offerings, contributing to incremental sales growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze market trends and customer feedback, informing product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the successful launch of new product lines and products, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Analyze and interpret data using SQL and Excel, extracting insights to drive informed decision-making and strategic initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, and or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, product management, or related roles.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a proactive approach to identifying and seizing opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • 2-4 years Tech industry experience and proficiency in data analysis tools are advantageous.
