Position Summary: 11 am - 7 pm Monday- Friday
The Shipping/Fulfillment Support Technician is responsible for the pulling, packing, and shipment of finished goods inventory, organization of the fulfillment inventory, and processing all daily shipments to ensure customer receives necessary products in the time desired, communicating with customer service and scheduling team of when inventory of product needs replenished. They will adhere to company standards for quality and job parameters, while maintaining a professional and team oriented behavior and attitude.
Essential Functions:
- Shipments of finished goods inventory / Shipments of outgoing customer jobs.
- Process incoming pick tickets and purchase orders from the Cargill plants, insuring accuracy of inventory pulled for jobs.
- Communicate with customer service team of any shortages of product that will need to be produced for jobs.
- Process all documentation needed to ensure accuracy of shipments.
- Package product in a neat and protective way to insure product arrives without being damaged in transportation.
- Process packing list, bill of lading, and UPS documentation for shipment to customer's specifications.
- Complete all necessary documentation needed for billing purposes.
- Communicate with truck lines to determine best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Enters freight costs into jobs.
- Assemble skids and binds containers using strapping machine and/or shrink wrapper.
- Apply identifying information and shipping instructions onto skid shipments.
- Post weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Organization of fulfillment / shipping area.
- Receive and stock racks with daily production of product in designated areas in fulfillment.
- Provide signage for any new product assigned by the customer.
- Rotate incoming inventory with existing inventory to ensure the oldest inventory is sent first.
- Keep isles and floors clean and clear to maintain safety standards of company.
- Maintain communication with customer service team to quarantine and dispose of any obsolete items.
- Stage outgoing shipments in designated areas in shipping.
- Takes precautions to protect equipment, property and product against loss.
- Suggests improvements to fulfillment procedures, and acts to improve quality, timeliness or reduce costs.
- Adheres to all quality control processes and procedures and actively supports the company's internal audit program.
- Operates forklift to move shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to outgoing trucks, storage or work area.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.
- Individual must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings, possessing strong communication skills, maintaining flexibility, objectivity and a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Participation and support of 5S initiatives and activities.
- Previous warehouse and logistics experience preferred.
- High school diploma / GED / or equivalent.
- Candidate should possess basic math and computer skills.
- English language required.

Position requires occasional travel to customer sites. Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls is required. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people, includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting. Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
