Location: Orlando preferred, remote in eligible states okay. 50-75% travel is required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Field Technician IV is responsible for installing and maintaining Force-on-Target training systems at various US Army CONUS and OCONUS sites, analysis of training range IT Networks, troubleshooting and solutions. The Field Technician IV reports up to the Program Manager and works with the Engineering team preparation of equipment to be fielded, installing the equipment and on-call support of the installed systems.
- Install and configure computer hardware, peripherals, related devices, network cabling and related infrastructure on location at the receiving site
- Accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of difficulties experienced in the field.
- Provide training to customer personnel. Must be able to work and interact with the local personnel (civilian and military)
- Applicant must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves continued interface with customer personnel.
- Providing systems engineering, testing, and network expertise for the support of user requirements of COTS software and hardware.
- Provide technical analysis, recommendations, and implementation plans for COTS hardware configurations, IT Networks, computational systems, and virtualization deployments.
- Work with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment configuration/design issues.
- Conduct technical site surveys and/or installs and provide analysis recommendations on the best technical and engineering solutions to meet budget, facility, and project.
- Manage other team personnel in the field, coordinate travel, and be the main point of contact on the ground between the fielding team, customer, and engineering team.
- Extensive travel to support fielding locations across the U.S. and overseas.

- Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, MIS or related field or equivalent professional work experience or certifications.
- 5-8 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer system/network engineering.
- Relevant network certifications and training related to network establishment and virtualization (Cisco, VMware, etc.).
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows (primary), experience with Linux a plus
- Domestic and international travel to military installations in support of fielding activities.
- Must currently have and/or be able to obtain a SECRET level US Government security clearance
- Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be able to travel 50% -75% of your time.
