WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the Program Manager, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Lead project planning and management of cost, schedule, risks and opportunities and technical performance for on time deliverables.
- Responsible for overall project knowledge and execution according to agreed upon deliverables and timelines.
- Responsible for coordination of customer requirements (schedule, recovery plans, reports, etc.)
- Primary customer contact on all project-related issues and communication; ensure appropriate and timely communication is maintained.
- Primary responsibility for identifying program risks/issues and taking preventive actions, as necessary.
- Evaluate, highlight, and escalate unresolved issues, potential obstacles, and resource constraints to Program Director and/or key stakeholders.
- Manages customer expectations and maintains customer’s positive perception of and scoring of the company’s performance. Understands the value PD provides the customer.
- Ensures that all contractual requirements are understood and flowed down to inter-departmental cross functional teams. May utilize more senior program managers to interpret requirements.
- Review program performance to provide on-going visibility for program cost, margin, and schedule (actual vs. projected.)
- Provide timely notification to management and customers of program cost, quality, or schedule impacts.
- Manage Multiple Projects concurrently. This includes gaining access to supplier portals to download customer documentation, RFQ’s, Purchase orders, and scorecards.
- Develop, coordinate, price, and submit routine quotes in accordance with company policies and procedures. Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure program execution and success of projects.
- Directly responsible for meeting program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for assigned programs.
- Provide program updates and progress reports during quarterly program management reviews with executive management team.
- Identify, contribute to, and lead internal initiatives for continuous improvement of business processes, project delivery and profitability.
- Other duties as assigned by Program Director and/or executive management.
ABOUT YOU:
- 3-5 years’ experience in multiple areas of the aerospace manufacturing environment. (Position primarily supports wire harness assemblies including Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, Quality, or Production.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write accurate correspondence and update company or department procedures
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Intermediate ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to apply basic negotiation skills to solve internal, external and customer issues.
- Must be skilled in the use of standard MS Office products. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- ERP experience required.
