Daily work may include:
- Loads, delivers and sets up durable medical equipment, oxygen and supplies to patients in their homes, as instructed
- Demonstrates equipment operation by providing instruction for use of certain types of medical equipment in the home
- Ensures a safe patient environment as it relates to equipment
- Completes follow-up visits for non-clinical respiratory patients
- Conducts Home Environmental Assessments for oxygen patients
- Assists patients in solving equipment-related problems
- Completes necessary paperwork and required documentation
- Exchanges equipment due for maintenance
- Sets up and picks up diagnostic studies and ensures delivery to appropriate physician
- Responds to emergency calls with clinical back up as needed
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience
Preferred 6 months of home care, DME, or healthcare experience
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Preferred Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Two year degree, preferably in healthcare related field.
Familiarity with medical documentation systems.
Ability to use navigation system and follow maps.
