Physical Therapy Aide

Requirements:

· Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, and families while providing quality physical therapy care.

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively

· Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or another related field

· High school or equivalent (required)

Job Description:

· The Physical Therapy Aide/Technician performs direct and indirect patient care as assigned by a licensed Physical Therapist.

· Assisting with treatment procedures as directed by therapists according to clinic policies and procedures.

· Cleaning/preparing treatment areas

· Maintaining a neat and clean environment

· Assisting directly and indirectly with patient care by insuring a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment

· Ensure linens are maintained

· Assisting with front desk duties as needed

· Assisting with appointment scheduling when necessary

· Providing guidance to patients throughout their physical therapy exercise programs

· Help implement and or execute the marketing plan

Physical Therapy Technicians for Physical Therapy Now will be responsible for assisting the Physical Therapists with patient modalities, exercises, facility management, straightening, cleaning, front desk support, and various tasks within the clinic. Patient Modalities include Ice, Heat, Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation, Cervical Traction, Lumbar Traction, Iontophoresis, etc.

Basic Life Support (Preferred)

Education:

Some College Preferred, pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy preferred, but not required

Experience:

1-2 years of experience preferred, but not required

Athletic experience preferred
