Services Provided: Advanced Life Support (ALS II AV, ALS II, ALS I), Basic Life Support, Wheelchair Van Services

Physicians Ambulance has an immediate need for Wheelchair Van Attendants out of our Cleveland / Elyria / Wooster locations Full-time and Part-time, with the most need being afternoon into the evening (until 11 pm) and weekend hours (11 am - 11 pm).
Must have excellent customer service skills and a clean driving record. Must have general driving knowledge of the Cleveland / Akron areas. All applicants go through background checks and receive drug and physical tests.
Must be able to use Company issued tablet with GPS connectivity and trip documentation software (never while driving!).

Brief Description
Provides transportation service for patients who require wheelchair assistant. Follows standardized protocols for patient loading and unloading. Demonstrates the ability to recognize medical situations requiring a higher level of intervention and communications to appropriate personnel.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Is reliable, professional, clean cut, well dressed (in company-issued uniforms) and punctual.
Uses time wisely and coordinates activities with dispatch center to provide timely service for the patients.
Maintains a pleasant and affable demeanor with patients and their families and others involved in the transport, including nursing staffs, convalescent home personnel, physician office personnel, hospital staff, and other health care providers.
Treats all clients with respect at all times.
Provides First Aid as needed to the limits of his/her State of Ohio certification/licensure.
Maintains required documentation and communications.
Clearly and concisely documents each transport event, following Company guidelines.
Maintains required communications with company dispatch center (timeliness and clarity of the communication is paramount).
Educational/Minimal Requirements:
High School Graduate
Training in CPR and First Aid (within 60 days of date of hire)
Valid OH Driver's License and acceptable driving record history, as determined by our insurance carrier
Will be expected to complete a safety driving course within 60 days of hire, as well as a course in caring for the elderly and disabled, along with HIPAA training and testing for patient information confidentiality and security.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
