What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Poster position at Physicians Primary Care of Southwest Florida?
Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician owned primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. We are currently seeking a Payment Poster to join our Central Billing team in Fort Myers.
Sample of Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service (friendly, courteous and helpful) to both our internal and external customers
* Retrieves batched EOBs from mail room clerk and accurately posts payments, makes write downs and transfers balances to corresponding patients' account via computer and Medical Manager software.
* Posts denials and no pays in a timely manner.
* Produces a daily operator report and balances posted items to a report at End of workday.
* Produces an acceptable amount of posting to meet departmental needs.
* Communicates questions or concerns for prompt resolution.
* Informs the team leader or billing manager and other employees of any changes and updates concerning the collection or payments of accounts.
* Assists other office personnel in the performance of their duties as assigned and as workload permits.
Position Requirements:
* Two years of experience working in a high-volume medical office environment
* Great attention to detail and data entry accuracy
* Ability to handle all interactions in a professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner
* Excellent and professional customer service skills
* Knowledge of methods and procedures of health data systems
