Job Description:
Looking for an experienced Plant Manager with strong leadership skills to be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of a natural gas - aeroderivative facility. Plant Manager responsibilities include all operations, maintenance, staffing, training, testing, and subcontracting on site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safety of employees, contractor, and public in all plant operations.
- Lead, direct, plan and coordinate power plant operations & maintenance to maximize the long-term value of the facility.
- Maintain regulatory compliance, in coordination with Compliance Manager, of all Federal, State and local regulations and associated permits. This includes all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations
- Accountable for plant for compliance with contractual requirements, including Power Purchase Agreement and Operations & Maintenance Agreement.
- Direct responsibility for developing and managing the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) annual and five-year budgets.
- Responsible for the implementation, management, updating and maintaining of all plant procedures, site policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices.
- Monitor and report plant performance; investigates and corrects any abnormal conditions.
- Direct and coordinate operations and maintenance work force in the day-today operations and maintenance of the power plant to meet production schedules. This includes all scheduled, daily, and major maintenance, emergency repairs and retrofits.
- Propose and upon approval, implement equipment modifications and plant improvements.
- Manages onsite subcontractors Plans and manages the hiring and training of all plant personnel.
- Assure proper working environment by maintaining morale and good employee relations.
- Approve and issue performance reviews, and salary and disciplinary actions.
- Represent the Plant (in coordination with the Asset Management Group) to the local communities, local interaction with elected and appointed officials and initial interface with off-takers.
- Plan and direct the development of technical, operational, financial and leadership skills of the facility staff.

Job Requirements:
- Travel to other sites and other locations as directed by Director/Vice President, O&M up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Ability to take direction, identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
- Ability to work in difficult customer situations.
- Available for 24-hour on-call duty to meet customer requirements.

- Ability to share technical expertise with team members and the customer.
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and direct the safe operation and maintenance activities of multiple complex projects.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Required leadership and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift (up to 75 pounds).
Education / Experience:
- Must have a detailed understanding of electrical generation power plants, including startup, operations and maintenance of power plant equipment, budgeting, performance monitoring, personnel management and corporate compliance.
- Position requires five years of managerial or supervisory experience with budgetary responsibility.
- Must have experience running a power plant with multiple gas turbines.
- Experience with zero liquid discharge system highly desirable.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science and management experience in the electric generation industry is desirable
- Ten years experience, with progressive increases in responsibilities, in startup, operations and maintenance of power plant equipment.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
