Job Summary:

Pickens Contracting is searching for a full-time Receptionist to join our team at our main office in Greer, SC. You will be the first point of contact when guests arrive or call; customer service is essential for this role. We are looking for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and is willing learn new skill sets.

This job will start out as a receptionist with plenty of room for future growth and opportunities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Key employee to answer, transfer and screen incoming business calls.
  • Welcomes and directs visitors and clients.
  • Maintains filing systems as assigned.
  • Retrieves information as requested from records, emails, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
  • Works alongside the Office Manager, Controller, and other administrative staff with frequent interaction with the operating department
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Great attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient with computers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or administrative roles.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background screening.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Roofing or Construction Industry experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
