Pickleball & More is seeking a self-motivated part time Pickleball Instructor who is excited to grow and build a dynamic Pickleball program along with delivering classes, private lessons, and workshops to the community. You will teach pickleball classes, private lessons, and clinics for youth, teens, and adults. The instructor will support pickleball leagues, be responsible for keeping attendance of all classes and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. You will also be responsible for greeting all patrons with a positive attitude and representing Pickleball & More’s programs in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Offers all instructional services including private and semi-private lessons, small groups, clinics, team coaching, and tactics and strategy to players at all levels.
- Assist with the coordination of leagues, tournaments, and social and competitive activities/events for all levels.
- Support the front desk by answering the phone, checking in members and guests, reservations, purchases, etc.
- Helps maintain a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and or products.
- Follows the court reservation system to ensure a smooth and even flow of traffic on and off courts.
- Relay all pertinent information and report to the Manger of Pickleball Operations and/or the Director of Operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, CORE COMPETENCIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Knowledge of the game of pickleball.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are critical. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Must be dependable, willing to learn, responsible, organized, safety-minded, a self-starter able to work independently and as well as with a team.
- The ideal candidate will have prior coaching experience.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds.
EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE:
- Knowledge AND experience playing pickleball.
- Be certified in CPR/First Aid within the first 30 days of hire.
