Certified Surgical Tech PRN Days Position Summary
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for the procedures. Ensures all instruments are cleaned and sterilized and functioning properly. Assists anesthesiologist when blocks are required for surgery. Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
THE CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECH PRN DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Minimum Education: College, military or vocational training required.
Minimum Experience: 1 to 2 years of job-related experience is preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Certified Surgical Technology recognized by the Association of Surgical Technologist (A.S.T.) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) for any new hire is required. Current non-certified Surgical Technologist Piedmont Medical Center employees are encouraged to acquire this certification. BLS require
