What are the responsibilities and job description for the Panel Technician position at Pieper Automation?
This role will have the ability to build entire electrical and pneumatic control panels for customers to meet their ever changing needs and challenges.

- Panel building and fabrication
- Be able to work with other team members or alone
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet customer demands
- Understand electrical circuits and panel building processes
- Understand the components and design layout of panels
- Ability to read and understand extensive blue prints
- Ability to make templates for larger scale products and replicate processes
- Pull wires and create layouts
- Onsite customer support
- Ability to trouble shoot problems
- Communicating with customer to correct and fix any issues at their sites
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others, and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
- High school diploma; or 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision to distinguish wire colors.
