Piggly Wiggly one of Alabama's fastest growing supermarket chains is in need of an experienced Produce Department manager for our Midfield store. This manager MUST be experienced in running ordering, merchandising and leading associates in a Supermarket Produce Department. Do not apply unless you have Supermarket Produce Department experience.
Responsibilities for Produce Manager
Ordering and replenishing stock.
- Rotate products and goods according to the company's instructions
- Greet customers with a warm smile as they enter the store
- Help customers navigate their way through the store
- Create a positive and friendly environment for customers
- Assist with the customer orders by retrieving items from the relevant sections
- Remove expired products from the display
- Ensure shelves are clean and neat
- Perform other duties as needed
- Experience in safe food handling in a grocery store required
- Safe Handling Card preferred
- Pallet jack knowledge
- Basic knowledge of produce and grocery items
- Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness
- Helpful and enthusiastic
- Excellent customer service and mannerism
- Friendly and approachable
- Flexible to work day, evening, and weekend shifts as required
- Able to stand and walk around for long periods at a time
- Routinely lift 10-30lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or with-out assistance.
