Job description

We are looking for a working Chef to join the team! We are a hardworking group but maintain a positive atmosphere. Our Chef position is responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen and food service for the club. We offer a competitive salary based on experience. Other job elements, club amenities, and club history will be discussed at the interview.

Primary responsibilities include management of quality food products, attaining budgeted costs, inventory controls, supervising all kitchen personnel, proper security, sanitation practices, and maintaining excellent employee and member relations.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to General Manager of the club.
  • Responsible for executing the highest standards of kitchen management, on a consistent and continual basis
  • Maintain sense of control and demonstrate a sense of urgency. Exceeding membership satisfaction is the primary goal.
  • Create daily, weekly, seasonal and party menus that list a variety of unique menu items that support member needs and standards of the club.
  • Properly estimate daily, party, or special function guest counts to ensure proper food production.
  • Meets standard of timeliness regarding placing, cooking, and plating of orders off the menu.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality food from the raw ingredients to the plate stage.
  • Provides prompt delivery of food from kitchen thereby delivering an exceptional dining experience to all members and their guests.
  • Deliver quality food to all members and guests to achieve the highest level of membership satisfaction.
  • Advocates the “Team Concept” with kitchen staff wherein the good of the club comes first.
  • Assist the General Manager in hiring and maintaining kitchen staff.
  • Train and onboard all new kitchen employees to ensure smooth transition
  • Responsible for the effective management of all related kitchen operating costs
  • Responsible for accurate food inventory.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety and security procedures.
  • Exhibits excellent sanitation practices to exceed state, local, club standards and health code requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with members and various committees on club events.
  • Responsible for other assignments as directed by the General Manager.

  • High Level of Professionalism
  • Private Club Experience or Upscale Restaurant Experience
  • Serve Safe Certified
  • Ability to work Holidays and Weekends

  • 6 months in season (Food Service available)
  • Wed. & Thurs - Lunch only (11:30am-3:30pm)
  • Friday - Lunch & Dinner (5:00pm-9pm)
  • Saturday -Breakfast (8:30am-10:30am), Lunch, & Dinner
  • Sunday -Breakfast & Lunch
  • any member or outside events on varing days
  • 6 months off season (Fri., Sat., & Sun.) Food Service available (service times same as above) any member or outside events on varying days
  • 40 hours week / Includes weekends & holidays

Experience:

  • Chef: 3 years (Preferred)
