RADIOLOGY TECH STUDENT II
EDUCATION AND LISENSURE:
Must be in their second year of an Accredited Radiology Program
Current BLS training is required
Assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the Radiology Technologist.
- Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of the Radiology Technologist.
- Positions patient using appropriate positioning techniques ensuring accurate exam.
- Communicates in an effective and efficient manner with all documentation, and with all co-workers, patients, visitors, and physicians.
- Recognizes and reports appropriate data to the Radiology Technologist.
- Assists Radiology Technologist.
- Prepares exam areas for incoming patients.
- Maintains and rotates supplies in assigned workstation and demonstrates cost efficient use of department resources.
- Assists in the transporting of patients to and from the Radiology department as needed.
- Meets all departmental specific competencies.
- Accesses the PACS system to push and pull images as needs for interpretation.
- Adhere to dress code.
- Adhere to hospital policies addressing infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with the hospital code of conduct and applicable corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
- Function as a preceptor to orient new employees.
- Perform other related duties and assigned or requested.
