Pillar Logistics is a national brokerage company providing 3rd party logistics services. An integral part of our service offering is coordinating Independent Motor Carriers to provide services for the home delivery of furniture to consumer homes and businesses on behalf of our clients throughout the country. We are providing top-tier experiences in the Phoenix, AZ market for a leading retailer of furniture and bedding.

We are seeking to hire a full time enthusiastic and motivated individual for a warehouse position at our Phoenix, AZ location. This position requires a self-starter who can manage, organize and keep constant flow in a warehouse environment. Must be motivated to work and continue to learn more on a day-to-day process as we do promote from within.

This job requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Job Requirements:
The Warehouse position will be responsible for tendering loads, providing dispatch support for independent contractors and performing services.

• The manual loading and unloading of product with the use of a hand truck/pallet jack

• Proper staging of product in the warehouse

• Pulling product to set up delivery routes

• Conducting a daily inventory of materials in the warehouse

• Checking in the carrier's product returns at the end of day

• Organize warehouse as needed on a daily basis

• Send and receive product from stores and cross-docks

• Filing organizational paperwork

• Work with client staff in performing daily duties

• Assist delivery teams with loading and unloading of materials

• Consult with managerial personnel in order to meet operational goals

• Stacking product

• Manually lifting full trash cans to shoulder level to empty into the compressor

• Prior knowledge of baler and compactor use a plus but training will be provided

• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have geographical area knowledge of Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas, and have the ability to problem solve and provide resolution to issues.

This position offers 30 hours per week and applicants must be flexible to work on weekends.

This position requires the Employee to be physically fit due to the requirement to manually move heavy furniture with the use of a hand dolly.

There is no forklift at this location.
