Armed Security Officer

Hourly: $25 Hour – Depending on Experience

Job Type: GRAVEYARD - Sunday - Wednesday 8 hours per night - 32 hours a week

The job site is located at a car lot auction facility. The time of coverage is from 9 pm until 5 am Sunday through Wednesday. We are there to protect the vehicles and equipment in the lot. The job also requires you to have your own equipment.

• Preferred Military Veteran – Honorably Discharged -OR- (Preference given to Veterans)
• Preferred Former Law Enforcement
• Must be a graduate of a certified Federal, State, County, or local law enforcement training academy, military police training program, or an equivalent which presented the individual with an appropriate certificate or diploma (P.O.S.T., DD214)
• Officers must have at least two (2) calendar years of full-time experience as a certified civilian or military law enforcement officer. Or officers must have a minimum of two (2) calendar years of active reserve police officer experience (minimum of 16 hours per month documented)

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• No felony convictions. (Misdemeanor convictions must be mentioned.)
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to a working vehicle.
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check, employment verification, and education verification.
• Flexibility to work varied/irregular hours and days including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to travel without limitations.
• Armed Guard Card (Preferred)
• Concealed Carry Permit (Preferred)
• Service Weapon
• Duty Rig
• Proof of firearm qualification. Must pass a quarterly firearm qualification. Each guard must qualify at least once each quarter.
• Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

Protectors must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without accommodations, which include:

• In good physical shape
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time;
• Ability to transport themselves where their physical presence is required;
• Ability to lift, move or transport files that can weigh up to 20 pounds.
