Position Description
Exeter is seeking a PC Systems Specialist to support our new contract with Office of the Judge Advocate General / Naval Legal Service Command to provide Information Technology (IT) support to perform steady-state IT inventory control and customer service support for Headquarters operations.
Responsibilities
Collect, inventory, and properly dispose of obsolete IT equipment.
Collect, inventory and properly dispose of obsolete removable media and internal hard drives.
Provide appropriate support documentation for destruction and/or disposal (DRMO).
Inventory, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for multifunction devices.
Collect, inventory, troubleshoot, provide technical support, redistribute, and properly dispose of laptops and steady-state IT equipment focusing on direct and indirect support for HQ operations.
Update inventory system utilized for tracking of IT equipment, providing quarterly reports.
Respond to support requests from our help desk ticket system.
Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities for remote offices.
Prepare property transaction forms for issued equipment.
Provide weekly work status/progress reports.
Required Qualifications
CompTIA A certification,
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Secret Security Clearance
Experience commensurate with position
Required Experience
In-depth knowledge and documented experience working with desktop and laptop computers, PC and Mac, including knowledge of latest operating system, including MS Windows 11.
Experienced in inventorying, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving computer hardware and software problems for a wide array of customers.
Ability to quickly and accurately perform data input to submit trouble tickets and other requests.
Familiarity with DoD and DON security requirements as they relate to IT and the Clinger-Cohen Act.
Ability to inventory IT assets and asset management.
Familiarity with computer cloning and software patching.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to adhere to IT installation timelines and deadlines.
Ability to map printers in a wireless environment.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Expertise in all MS Office and related applications, including Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Ability to pack, ship, receive and track computer equipment.
Familiarity with Avaya PBX Phone System, including experience in the installation, programing, repair and maintenance of associated equipment.
Knowledge on the transition from a PBX to VoIP phone system.
Familiarity with A/V and Presentation Systems (e.g., AMX, Crestron, etc.).·
COMPTIA A Certification or similar is desired.
